SPRING RENEWAL TIPI CEREMONY
SATURDAY MAY 14, 2010 AT 5:00 PM
Join us for a community weekend. We will work on the land together…. play together and pray for the renewal of life everywhere!
The Spring Renewal Tipi Ceremony is a time for us to give expression and prayers for the coming of Spring and the renewal of all life everywhere. Everyone is welcome to
attend this ceremony and come together in community.
The Ceremony will begin around five on Saturday afternoon. If you wish to participate in preparing the Tipi and the space for the Ceremony, please come around 4:00 PM. Women usually collect spring
flowers and foliage to decorate the tipi for the community. Women, please wear skirts, to honor Mother Earth and the Sacred Feminine. Men, please wear long pants to this ceremony. Children of all
ages are always welcome in Ceremony.
There will be a community feast after the ceremony. Please bring a dish to share.
There is never a charge for ceremony.
Tending the Land Weekend
May 13-15
For those who wish to participate, we will be tending the land to honor her transition from a cold snowy winter into the spring and summer. You are welcome to join us on Friday and Saturday to chop wood, pick up branches, work in the garden and be together in community. Bring drums and rattles or any musical instrument for a drumming in the meadow----or maybe a moonlight hike on the ridge.
Please contact us for more information on the Work Weekend and Spring Tipi Ceremony. If you plan on coming and staying in the lodge or a tipi, reservations will be made with providing spaces for Elders first and then on a first reserve basis. Please make your reservations soon, to insure an inside sleeping space or a tipi space.
